No:484/24, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Imma Tor Faus, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra

On 5 December 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Imma Tor Faus, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra, within the framework of his participation in the 31st meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council.
At the meeting, prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries, issues arising from our COP29 Presidency, as well as issues standing on the regional and international agenda were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided information on our country’s Presidency of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) and the outcomes of the session, and stressed that important decisions, particularly on climate finance, were achieved. Along with this, it was emphasized that Andorra’s joining 6 out of 9 declarations put forward by our Presidency in the field of combating climate change causes satisfaction.
The other side was also informed in detail about the current situation in the region, the large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in the liberated territories, as well as the course of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
