On 12 May 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa within the framework of his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the current state of Azerbaijan–Bahrain bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as the regional and international situation were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude for the high hospitality shown during the official visit and conveyed hope that the current visit would contribute to the development of cooperation between the two countries.
Satisfaction was expressed with the level of political dialogue at the highest and high levels between the countries, and the importance of further developing this dynamic through concrete initiatives in the fields of economy, trade, investments, tourism, logistics, information and communication technologies was emphasized.
It was noted with satisfaction that 2026 will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Bahrain, and the importance of continuing to be guided by the principles on which these relations are based in the future development of cooperation was highlighted.
During the meeting, an exchange of views also took place on other issues of mutual interest.
