On 18 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Azerbaijan–Turkmenistan relations. The importance of the continuity of political dialogue, and further strengthening the partnership based on brotherhood and friendship, mutual respect and trust was emphasized.
The Ministers noted the importance of joint projects, expansion of transport and transit opportunities, as well as the development of logistics connections.
The sides also exchanged views on regional and international security issues.
At the meeting, issues of cooperation and mutual support within the framework of international organizations were also discussed.
