On 8 March 2025, within the framework of his participation in the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ceyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad of the Republic of Tunisia, Mohamed Ali Nafti.
During the meeting, the prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tunisia were discussed.
The importance of expanding relations across various fields between the two countries, which share common religious and cultural roots, as well as the existence of broad potential in this regard, was noted.
In this context, the importance of establishing a consultation mechanism between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs was emphasized.
It was also highlighted that there is a need to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tunisia within regional and international organizations, including the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
