No:090/24, Press release on the meeting between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and the Secretary General of the OSCE, Helga Schmid

On 2 March 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Helga Schmid, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the OSCE, the current situation in the region, as well as the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
A number of potential projects between Azerbaijan and the OSCE, as well as possible areas of cooperation in connection with Azerbaijan’s hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) this year, were reviewed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided information on recent developments within the peace and normalization agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, noting that anti-Azerbaijan statements made by Armenia on various platforms, as well as its recent provocations, contradict the peace rhetoric voiced by that country.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
