On March 6, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, held a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the telephone conversation, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided his counterpart with detailed information on the drone attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran on March 5, 2026, targeting the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The Minister noted that such actions against the territory of Azerbaijan not only violate the country’s sovereignty but also constitute a serious breach of the norms and principles of international law and contribute to increased tensions in the region.
Minister Nasser Bourita strongly condemned the drone attacks against Azerbaijan, expressed concern, and affirmed solidarity with our country.
During the telephone conversation, views on other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged.
