No:068/25, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko

On 20 February 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko.
During the meeting, discussions were held on current issues on the agenda of existing cooperation between the two countries, as well as the situation in the region.
The sides emphasized the importance of the position consistently demonstrated by both countries regarding the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders of states, as well as relations between the countries based on the fundamental principles of international law and mutual respect.
The other side noted with appreciation Azerbaijan’s contribution to the reconstruction and restoration of conflict-affected regions of Ukraine, as well as the humanitarian assistance sent to the people of Ukraine.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other regional and global issues of mutual interest.
On the same day, political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The political consultations were led by Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov from the Azerbaijani side and by Olexandr Mischenko from the Ukrainian side.
