On 15 February 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Georg Georgiev within the framework of his participation in the Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, economic, trade and energy security aspects of the Azerbaijan-Bulgaria strategic partnership relations, as well as regional and international security issues, were discussed.
The importance of the existence of an active political dialogue between the two countries was noted, and reference was made to the mechanisms of strategic dialogue and political consultations, as well as the activities of the Joint Commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Bulgaria in the development of strategic partnership relations.
It was noted that cooperation in the field of energy security is one of the main directions of the Azerbaijan-Bulgaria strategic partnership, and the importance of continuing our existing cooperation in the field of green energy was emphasized. It was brought to attention that the projects implemented to strengthen cooperation in energy supply, as well as the established interconnector routes, are among the practical results of our cooperation.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
