On 18 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Magdalena Grono.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-European Union (EU) cooperation, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, as well as regional and international issues were discussed.
Issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in political, economic, transport, energy security and other directions, the agreements reached on cooperation platforms and instruments, as well as the next steps were reviewed.
The importance of the discussions held during the visit of the President of the European Council Antonio Costa to our country, possible cooperation mechanisms between Azerbaijan and the European Union, the resumption of negotiations on a new bilateral agreement and the discussions on the Partnership Priorities document was emphasized.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization and peace process, as well as on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
