On 18 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania Ferit Hoxha within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated the Albanian Minister on his appointment to this position and wished him success in his responsible activities.
During the meeting, issues on the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Albania, including political dialogue, economy, trade, energy security, transport and communications, tourism, education and culture were discussed.
It was noted that cooperation in the field of energy is one of the leading factors of bilateral relations.
The importance of further developing relations between the sides based on friendship, mutual respect and beneficial cooperation in various directions was emphasized.
At the same time, the importance of continuing mutually beneficial cooperation and solidarity on multilateral platforms, including within the framework of international organizations was brought to attention.
At the same time, the role of dialogue and diplomacy in overcoming security challenges at the regional and international levels was particularly noted.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
