On 17 March, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
The Ministers emphasized that the ongoing war in the Middle East creates serious security threats at the regional and global levels, as well as the importance of de-escalation and the resumption of the negotiation process. The Polish Minister strongly condemned the drone attacks carried out by Iran against our country and expressed his solidarity with our country. The Polish Minister thanked Azerbaijan for the support provided in the evacuation of its diplomats and citizens from the territory of Iran.
During the phone call, it was also noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Poland in political, economic, alternative energy, humanitarian and other fields have broad prospects, and the importance of intensifying mutual visits and political dialogue in the development of relations was emphasized.
The Ministers also exchanged views on other regional and international security issues during the phone call.
