No:079/24, Press release on the meeting between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan

On 1 March 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan both on the bilateral level and within multilateral platforms, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in various fields.
The ministers expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of regular political consultations, as well as high-level visits and political dialogue for these relations.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that there are broad prospects for further development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan in humanitarian, political, trade, and other areas.
The Minister also expressed satisfaction with the mutual support provided by the two countries to each other’s positions within multilateral platforms, emphasized the importance of cooperation within platforms such as the United Nations and the Organization of Turkic States, and noted the significance of the Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Turkic States to be held in Shusha this year.
At the same time, information was provided on the preparation process for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), and opportunities for cooperation in this context were assessed.
The ministers also discussed the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process, as well as reconstruction and restoration issues in our liberated territories.
During the meeting, the sides also held a broad exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
