On 28 December 2024, an event was held to present letters of appreciation to employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded by Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for their active participation in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
During the event, the memory of the persons who lost their lives as a result of the tragic crash of our country’s aircraft operating the Baku–Aktau flight on 25 December 2024 was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Speaking at the event, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stressed that the crash of the aircraft belonging to “Azerbaijan Airlines” deeply shocked and saddened our entire people, and prayed to Allah to have mercy on the persons who lost their lives as a result of the crash and wished recovery to the injured.
Gratitude was expressed to all employees who contributed to the successful organization of COP29 held in the city of Baku on 11–22 November, and they were wished success in their future activities.
Later, letters of appreciation were presented to employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded by Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
