No:479/24, Press release on the seminar “Modern diplomacy in the digital age” held within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s joining the Partnership for Peace Programme

On 5–6 December 2024, a two-day seminar on “Modern diplomacy in the digital age” is being conducted in the city of Baku by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of our country’s joining the Framework Document of the Partnership for Peace (PfP) Programme.

 

Young diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are participating in the seminar.

 

Within the framework of the seminar, the changes brought by the development of information and communication technologies (ICT) to the conduct of diplomacy in modern international relations, as well as the risks and opportunities of using ICT, will be discussed.

 

During the seminar, young diplomats will also acquire knowledge on cybersecurity and disinformation problems, methods used in the direction of preventing them, as well as ways of taking response measures in combating existing challenges in the system of international relations.
