On 2 December 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, Margus Tsahkna.
During the telephone conversation, current issues on the agenda of Azerbaijan–Estonia bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as regional and global matters, were discussed.
Satisfaction with the intensifying political dialogue and mutual visits between the two countries was expressed. The importance of mutual support within the framework of international platforms was emphasized. In this context, cooperation relations were reviewed.
During the telephone conversation, Minister Margus Tsahkna informed that an official decision had been adopted on the opening of the Embassy of Estonia in Azerbaijan in 2026. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, welcomed this step, noting that it would give an additional impetus to relations between the two countries.
In addition, views were exchanged on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
