On 7 November 2024, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and José Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov first of all once again expressed his message of condolences regarding the persons who lost their lives as a result of the floods that occurred in Spain and other consequences of the natural disaster.
Then the sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries and emphasized that the expansion of existing cooperation is important for both countries.
During the telephone conversation, preparatory works for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), and issues of cooperation between the two countries in this direction were discussed.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
