No:432/24, Press release on the telephone conversation between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq

On 4 November 2024, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.
During the telephone conversation, the current regional situation in the Middle East, the growing tension in the region, as well as bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues between the two countries were discussed.
Minister Fuad Hussein, providing detailed information on the latest developments in the region, stressed that the expansion of the conflict causes serious concern.
The other side was informed about the final preparatory works for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which our country will host in a few days, and possible areas of cooperation were touched upon.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
