No:390/24, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Annalena Baerbock, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany

On 27 September 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Annalena Baerbock, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, within the framework of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
At the meeting, existing bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, as well as the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, were discussed.
The other side was also informed in detail about the works carried out within the framework of Azerbaijan’s hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, speaking about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories, as well as the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process, stressed that the continuing territorial claims against our country in the Constitution of Armenia and legislative documents, as well as the rapid armament of this country, are threats posing danger to the peace agenda.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
