No:381/24, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro

On 26 September 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, within the framework of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries in the existing political, economic, energy and humanitarian fields.
It was emphasized that high-level mutual visits and the holding of regular political consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers play an important role in the development and continuation of permanent political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Montenegro.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side about Presidency activities of Azerbaijan for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), and stated that within this framework Azerbaijan is ready for continued cooperation with Montenegro in relevant environmental activities.
The restoration, reconstruction and peace efforts of Azerbaijan in the post-conflict period were discussed in detail, and it was noted that Azerbaijan will continue its efforts aimed at sustainable peace and security hereafter.
Along with this, at the meeting, an exchange of views was conducted on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
