No:362/24, Press release on the meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov with Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia

On 24 September 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, within the framework of the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
At the meeting, prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as the current regional situation in the post-conflict period, were discussed.
The sides noted that they attach importance to the development of bilateral relations based on mutual respect and beneficial cooperation. The importance of holding regular political consultations between deputy ministers of foreign affairs in the direction of developing political dialogue was noted.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed the other side in detail about the measures implemented within the framework of Azerbaijan's hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). It was noted that Azerbaijan is ready for cooperation with the Estonian side within the framework of the session.
The other side was informed about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, including the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
