On 17 September 2024, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu.
During the phone call, issues of bilateral and multilateral strategic cooperation between the two countries, as well as regional connectivity, were discussed.
The sides also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation within international organizations and multilateral platforms.
Within the discussions, the priority directions of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) for 2024–2026 were addressed.
Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan being based on strategic partnership, friendship, and multifaceted cooperation.
During the phone call, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
