On 10 September 2024, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha.
During the phone call, the sides discussed the existing cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, as well as regional and international security issues.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov warmly congratulated his counterpart on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and wished him success in his activities.
It was noted with satisfaction that cooperation between the two countries, based on mutual respect and support, as well as on the norms and principles of international law, is developing successfully.
Minister Andrii Sybiha expressed his gratitude for the congratulations and conveyed his confidence in the further strengthening of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan in connection with the security situation around Ukraine, particularly support for the restoration and reconstruction of infrastructure in Irpin, as well as assistance in demining activities, was gratefully recalled.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest during the phone call.
