No:323/25, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Milan Lajčák

On 25 July 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Milan Lajčák, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on existing cooperation issues between Azerbaijan and Slovakia, as well as the current situation in the region and the world.
Ambassador Milan Lajčák was thanked for his efforts to develop Azerbaijan–Slovakia bilateral and multilateral cooperation during his tenure in the country, and he was wished success in his future activities.
The importance of mutual visits and contacts, as well as the use of the political consultations mechanism, in the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation was emphasized. It was noted that the meeting between the leaders of the two countries held during the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) hosted by Azerbaijan last year, as well as the exchanges of views between the foreign ministers within the framework of various international events, were productive.
It was noted that there are broad prospects for expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science, culture, and others, and the importance of continuing mutual exchanges and activities in this direction was highlighted.
Ambassador Milan Lajčák expressed gratitude for the support and warm reception during his tenure in Azerbaijan and conveyed his best wishes for the further development of Azerbaijan–Slovakia relations.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
