No:323/24, Press release on the working visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fariz Rzayev, to Slovenia

From 31 August to 3 September 2024, the delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fariz Rzayev, paid a working visit to Slovenia to participate in the Bled Strategic Forum held in this country.
Within the framework of the Forum, speaking at a panel dedicated to the global economy, F. Rzayev provided information on the large-scale energy projects implemented by Azerbaijan, its contribution to the energy security of European countries, and spoke about the important role it plays in the creation and operation of international transport corridors.
He emphasized that this activity of Azerbaijan is of particular importance in terms of transforming the South Caucasus region into a secure, prosperous, and developed area.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was also held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia with State Secretary Marko Štucin, during which current issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia were discussed, including the intensification of political dialogue between the two countries and the development of cooperation in the field of economy and other areas. In this regard, the necessity of utilizing the existing potential for further expansion of relations was emphasized.
F. Rzayev informed the other side about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the non-constructive position of Armenia.
