No:255/24, Press release on the participation and speech of Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov at the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in Berlin

On 11 June 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, participated and delivered a speech at the Ukraine Recovery Conference within the framework of his working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
During the speech, detailed information was provided on the humanitarian assistance, rehabilitation programs and reconstruction works carried out by Azerbaijan in connection with the situation around Ukraine, and it was emphasized that our country will continue to provide its relevant support.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, bringing to attention that Azerbaijan has always supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, noted that our country has supported, from the first days of the situation around Ukraine, the cessation of military operations as soon as possible, as well as the finding of a diplomatic solution to the conflict based on the norms of international law.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, stating that the serious humanitarian consequences of the conflict are deeply regrettable, brought to attention that Azerbaijan is one of the first countries providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, and that to date assistance amounting to a total of 40 million US dollars, including medicines, food, electric generators and others, has been provided.
At the same time, it was stated that a medical and socio-psychological rehabilitation program for children affected by the conflict in Ukraine has been implemented by our country, and that a total of 154 children have participated in this program to date.
It was brought to attention that Azerbaijan supports projects for the restoration of infrastructure in Ukraine, and that in this regard the reconstruction works of a school building in the city of Irpin have already been completed.
It was stated that as a country combating the mine threat in its territories liberated from occupation, Azerbaijan consistently supports strengthening solidarity with countries affected by mines and has provided assistance to Ukraine in the field of demining.
