No:174/25, Press release on the meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah

On 30 April 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah during his official visit to this country.
During the meeting, various aspects of Azerbaijan-Kuwait bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international security issues, were discussed.
Satisfaction was expressed with the level of existing political dialogue between the two countries, and the importance of further increasing high-level visits and contacts was emphasized. It was noted that political consultations held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs are useful in identifying potential areas of cooperation.
The prospects of cooperation within regional and international organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Non-Aligned Movement, were discussed, and issues of joint activities within Azerbaijan’s upcoming chairmanship of the OIC were addressed.
Recalling his visit to our country during the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) and his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah noted that discussions had particularly emphasized the development of cooperation between the two countries in areas such as economy, trade, energy security, and tourism.
In this regard, the importance of the upcoming meeting of the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait was highlighted.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
