No:168/26, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev

On 18 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, issues arising from the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed.
The Ministers noted with satisfaction that the historical friendship and brotherhood relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan have been further strengthened and elevated to the level of strategic partnership as a result of mutual trust and political dialogue between the leaders of the countries.
It was emphasized that the strategic partnership relations between the two countries are further improved and developed through the work of the Interstate Council between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the joint intergovernmental commission on cooperation in economic and humanitarian fields.
It was noted that bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan in various fields, including political, economic, trade, investment, transport and communications, tourism, culture, humanitarian and other fields has a multifaceted character.
At the same time, the importance of developing relations within the framework of regional and international organizations was emphasized. In particular, the existence of broad prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), as well as the importance of intensive contacts between the member states of the OTS in utilizing the existing potential were emphasized.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest, as well as the security situation in the Middle East.
