On 15 March, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Oana-Silvia Toiu.
During the telephone conversation, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania.
Within this framework, views were exchanged on opportunities for expanding cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and communications. The importance of strategic projects implemented with the participation of Azerbaijan was emphasized.
The Ministers also touched upon regional and international issues of mutual interest and noted the importance of strengthening cooperation, security and stability.
During the conversation, the current state and prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union in a broader context were also reviewed. The sides emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and cooperation in this direction.
The Ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
