On 9 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Johann David Wadephul, made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
The sides discussed the current security situation in the region and the impact of the rising tensions in the Middle East on regional and global security.
The German Minister expressed his concern over the drone attacks carried out by Iran against our country, strongly condemned the attacks, and stated that he stands in solidarity with our country.
The German Minister thanked the Azerbaijani side for the support provided in the evacuation of its citizens from Iran.
During the phone call, an exchange of views was also held on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, as well as on other regional issues of mutual interest.
