No:096/24, Press release on the meeting between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Kubanychbek Omuraliev

On 2 March 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, on the sidelines of the 3rd Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that this organization has significant potential for strengthening friendship, brotherhood, and cooperation in the Turkic world, and emphasized that Azerbaijan consistently supports the steps, initiatives, and ideas undertaken within the framework of the OTS to realize this potential.
The Minister highlighted that expanding and deepening relations with the Turkic world is one of the main priorities of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, and stated that Azerbaijan is ready to make joint efforts to further develop cooperation within this organization.
Possible areas of cooperation with the OTS within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) were also reviewed.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
