On 2 March 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, the recent momentum observed in Azerbaijan–Luxembourg contacts was noted with satisfaction, and the importance of political dialogue between the countries was emphasized.
The necessity of intensifying mutual efforts to develop cooperation between Azerbaijan and Luxembourg, as well as the importance of political dialogue and reciprocal visits, was highlighted.
During the meeting, the other side was provided with detailed information on Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan and the occupation that lasted for nearly 30 years, as well as on the current state and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the existing situation in the region.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
