On March 6, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, held a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the telephone conversation, the ministers exchanged views on recent developments in the region. Concern was expressed over the military escalation, and the importance of refraining from actions that could further increase tensions was emphasized.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his Belarusian counterpart about the drone attacks carried out on March 5 by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
The ministers also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
