On 1 March 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation of Burkina Faso, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, on the sidelines of the 3rd Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré on his recent appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso and expressed readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Satisfaction was expressed with the current level of cooperation within international organizations, particularly the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The sides highlighted the existing potential for cooperation in a number of areas.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
