A telephone conversation held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaque Dar.
During the call, the ministers exchanged views on the ongoing military escalation and rising tensions in the Middle East.
The potential impact of the current situation on regional and global security was highlighted, and the importance of adhering to humanitarian law, ensuring the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and resolving issues through dialogue and diplomatic means in accordance with the norms and principles of international law was stressed.
The Pakistani side also provided information on the current situation regarding clashes along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border.
The conversation additionally covered the current state of strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan and discussed prospects for their future development.
