No:058/25, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Emil Hurezeanu

On 15 February 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Emil Hurezeanu within the framework of his participation in the Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, issues arising from the existing strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Romania, as well as topics on the regional and international agenda, were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov conveyed his sincere congratulations to Emil Hurezeanu on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania and wished him success in his activities.
The importance and role of high-level and top-level mutual visits and political dialogue in elevating our bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership were noted. Readiness to further elevate relations to a higher level was expressed.
Opportunities for further expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Romania in the fields of economy, energy, trade, humanitarian affairs, education, agriculture, tourism and other areas were discussed.
In particular, the importance of partnership in the field of green energy was emphasized, and it was brought to attention that the development of cooperation in areas such as transport and logistics, especially along the Middle Corridor, could provide an additional contribution to our cooperation.
During the meeting, the current situation and realities in our region in the post-conflict period, as well as the prospects of the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, were also discussed.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
