On 15 February 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Secretary General of the OSCE Feridun Sinirlioğlu within the framework of his participation in the Munich Security Conference.

During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on the main directions of the Azerbaijan-OSCE bilateral cooperation agenda, the challenges currently faced by the OSCE, regional and international security issues, the current situation in the region, as well as the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov once again sincerely congratulated Feridun Sinirlioğlu on his appointment as Secretary General of the OSCE and wished him continued success in this important role.

It was noted that in the current period, when security in Europe faces serious challenges, it is important to promote the unconditional application of the norms of international law, particularly the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and the inviolability of internationally recognized borders.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period. First of all, the importance of eliminating structures that are remnants of the period of occupation for the effectiveness of the OSCE’s activities, as well as for organizing work in accordance with regional realities, was emphasized.

Referring to the progress of the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the continuation of territorial claims against our country in the Constitution of Armenia and other legislative acts constitutes an obstacle to the process.

During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
