No:037/24, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Hulusi Akar

On 29 January 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the delegation led by the Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Hulusi Akar.
During the meeting, the dynamic cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and brotherly Türkiye, as well as issues of inter-parliamentary and security cooperation, were extensively discussed.
Welcoming the delegation of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized with satisfaction the intensive development of strategic allied relations between our brotherly countries and noted the importance of mutual visits for these relations. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also brought to attention that intensive working contacts between the state institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Türkiye make a significant contribution to bilateral relations.
The sides emphasized the close cooperation relations between the two countries in all fields, particularly in the fields of security and army building, within the framework of the Shusha Declaration, as well as the existence of broad development potential of these relations.
Hulusi Akar, for his part, expressed gratitude for the hospitality and warm reception, expressed satisfaction with the level of mutual support demonstrated by two countries on all platforms, as well as with the future prospects of inter-parliamentary relations. The Chairman of the Commission Hulusi Akar also noted the existence of broad prospects for Azerbaijan to benefit from the capabilities of Türkiye’s defense industry.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
