On 12 January 2024, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mariya Gabriel.
During the telephone conversation, the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria in the political, economic, energy, transport and humanitarian fields, including cooperation within the framework of international organizations, were discussed, and satisfaction with the level of cooperation was expressed.
It was emphasized that the high-level visits carried out over the past year, as well as the political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs held in December, made a positive contribution to bilateral relations. The effective cooperation in the field of energy, the role and importance of Azerbaijan in ensuring Europe’s energy security, as well as in the diversification of energy supply were noted.
Subsequently, views were exchanged on other regional and bilateral issues of mutual interest.
