On 25 December 2024, Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a phone call to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
Minister Murat Nurtleu noted that they received the news of the crash of the aircraft belonging to “Azerbaijan Airlines” in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, with deep sorrow.
The Kazakh Minister expressed his deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the crash, and to the friendly and brotherly people of Azerbaijan. It was stressed that from the first moments of the crash, Kazakhstan’s emergency agencies were fully mobilized and participated in eliminating the consequences of the crash. It was stated that an investigation group was established and relevant measures were taken in the direction of investigating the causes of the crash.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked his Kazakh counterpart for the condolences, and in turn expressed condolences to the families of the Kazakh citizens who lost their lives, and to friendly and brotherly Kazakhstan. Gratitude was expressed for the support shown.
