No:429/25, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the non-resident Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Azerbaijan Amanul Haq

On 12 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the non-resident Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Azerbaijan Amanul Haq.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on the current state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh.
The sides emphasized that relations between our countries based on friendship and mutual respect are developing, and expressed satisfaction with mutual support within international organizations, particularly the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the D-8. It was noted that there is broad potential for the development of cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, trade, energy, education and culture.
Contacts at the level of leaders were noted with satisfaction, including the participation of the Chief Adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus, in COP29. It was emphasized that there are broad prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Summits of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia to be held in our country next year, as well as the United Nations World Urban Forum.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, including increasing high-level contacts and deepening cooperation within international platforms.
