No:394/25, Press release on the meeting of Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

On 15 October 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov, who is on a visit to the Netherlands, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Marcel de Vink.
During the meeting, it was noted that the high-level contacts between the two countries in recent times, particularly the meeting held between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Dick Schoof within the framework of the 7th Summit of the European Political Community held in the city of Copenhagen, have created a positive basis for the development of relations.
The sides emphasized the importance of regular political dialogue, including meetings between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs within international platforms, the holding of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, the visit of Deputy Minister Marcel de Vink to Baku in February this year, and the continuation of mutual visits.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on existing opportunities for the development of relations in various fields, it was noted that economic cooperation occupies an important place in relations between the two countries, and satisfaction was expressed with the successful activities of Dutch companies in Azerbaijan.
Issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, as well as international and regional matters of mutual interest, including the new realities formed in the region in the post-conflict period, the peace process, and the outcomes of the historic Washington meeting, were also in the focus of the meeting.
Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov informed the other side about the steps taken by Azerbaijan for sustainable development and stability in the region.
