On 23 August 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.
During the telephone conversation, a number of issues on the Azerbaijan–Russia bilateral and multilateral agenda, various aspects of political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as regional and international security issues were discussed.
The sides exchanged views on the latest meeting of the Intergovernmental State Commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation held on 22 August of the current year in the city of Astrakhan, and highly appreciated the outcomes of the meeting.
During the telephone conversation, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
