On 10 September 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to our country, Abdullah Muhammad Almauidi, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues on the cooperation agenda between the two countries.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Abdullah Muhammad Almauidi for his efforts in the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait and wished him success in his future activities.
It was noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the friendly and brotherly State of Kuwait, and satisfaction was expressed with the development of bilateral, as well as multilateral cooperation during this period.
The importance of intensifying the activities of the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait was emphasized in order to further develop bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade, investment, tourism, and others.
It was stated that the logical outcome of relations at the governmental level is reflected in the growing dynamics of mutual visits between our peoples.
The importance of continuing mutual support and cooperation within regional and international organizations, particularly the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the Gulf Cooperation Council, was emphasized.
Gratitude was expressed for the support provided by Kuwait for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan during the nearly 30-year period of occupation of Azerbaijani territories.
Ambassador Abdullah Muhammad Almauidi expressed his gratitude for the reception and kind wishes on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission and conveyed his confidence that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait will continue to develop along an upward trajectory.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
