No:308/25, Press release on the working visit of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov to Dubrovnik, Croatia

On 11–12 July 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elnur Mammadov, participated in the international event titled “Dubrovnik Forum – Steering Change” held in the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Within the framework of the visit, Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov took part in the panel discussion titled “Connecting Europe and Asia: Pathways to Partnership and Prosperity.” In his speech, he noted that strengthening political and economic ties between Europe and Asia is of strategic importance for international stability and sustainable development, and highlighted Azerbaijan’s growing role as a reliable partner and a sustainable transport and logistics corridor connecting the two continents.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that Azerbaijan, through multilateral initiatives in the fields of transport, energy, and communications, makes a significant contribution to interregional integration and plays a strategic coordinating role in the Eurasian space.
Within the framework of the Forum, Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov held a meeting with the Head of the delegation of the People’s Republic of China, Special Representative for European Affairs, Lu Shaye.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China, including high-level visits carried out in recent years and signed cooperation documents within this framework.
In addition, during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, Russ Jalichandra, views were exchanged on the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Thailand. Issues related to the development of cooperation in economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields, as well as mutual support within multilateral platforms, were also considered.
