On 19 June 2025, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Anita Anand.
During the telephone conversation, the existing security situation resulting from the Israel-Iran confrontation was discussed. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada also expressed gratitude for the support provided by Azerbaijan in the evacuation of its citizens from Iran.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, congratulated the Canadian Minister on her appointment to this position and wished her success.
The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
