On 24 May 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the delegation led by the Chairman of the National Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Mahmut Özer.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the allied relations between brotherly Azerbaijan and Türkiye being at the highest level, and it was emphasized that the relations are based on a common language, history, religion and national-spiritual values that unite the peoples.
It was noted that the strategic relations, crowned by the Shusha Declaration, which give impetus to future cooperation and solidarity and unite our peoples, are the main factor in ensuring sustainable peace and development in the South Caucasus region, and that regional and global-scale projects are being implemented as a result of Azerbaijan–Türkiye cooperation.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that mutual visits at various levels contribute to further strengthening relations. He stressed that Azerbaijan–Türkiye cooperation is a relationship unparalleled in the world, and that as a result of the political will of the leaders of both countries, these relations have now reached the highest historical peak.
It was stated that Türkiye has always stood by Azerbaijan and that mutual support is provided in all fields, and it was expressed that Azerbaijan’s glorious victory is of great importance for the entire Turkic world.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also noted that he is confident that the existing cooperation between the two countries in the field of education will be further strengthened with the establishment of the Azerbaijan–Türkiye University.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on new areas of cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
