On 23 March, a phone call held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
During the phone call, the regional situation was discussed. The Ministers exchanged views on possible efforts aimed at putting an end to the military escalation in the region. In addition, the importance of ensuring security in the Caspian Sea region was emphasized.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also reiterated our expectations regarding the completion of the investigation into the drone attacks carried out from the territory of Iran against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The Ministers also exchanged views on bilateral issues of mutual interest.
