On 20 March, a phone call held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov.
During the phone call, issues of cooperation arising from the strategic allied relations between the two countries, as well as the security situation in the Middle East, were discussed.
Deep concern was expressed over the further increasing tensions in the region, and it was emphasized that the military escalation poses a serious threat not only to regional security but also to global stability. The importance of intensifying efforts towards ensuring stability was brought to attention.
The Ministers conveyed their congratulations on the occasion of the holy Ramadan holiday and Novruz holiday and expressed their wishes for further strengthening unity and cooperation between our peoples and the two countries.
The Ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
