On 17 March, a phone call held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
During the phone call, the regional situation and bilateral relations were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov brought to attention the importance of the completion of the investigations by Iran, in accordance with the commitment given following the drone attacks carried out from the territory of Iran against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
In general, the necessity of not targeting civilian objects during the ongoing war, the importance of putting an end to the military escalation in the region in the short term, and our support for resolving the existing difficulties through negotiations were emphasized.
The Ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
