On 15 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
The Ministers discussed the current security situation in the Middle East. Expressing concern over the increasing tensions in the region, the importance of preventing further escalation of the situation was noted.
Within this framework, the necessity of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries of the region, as well as not targeting neighboring countries, was emphasized.
During the phone call, other current issues on the regional and international agenda, as well as the current state and prospects for the development of existing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia were discussed.
In addition, the Ministers exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
